ANA JAKIMSKA AND STEFAN ARSENIJEVIĆ GO EAST

First Films First goes Wiesbaden: Ana Jakimska\’s Midnight Train is a guest project at goEast\’s East-West Talent Lab, and Stefan Arsenijevic is on the expert jury

FFF has a strong presence at the goEast Festival of Central- and Eastern European Film in Wiesbaden (Apr 26 – May 2). Ana Jakimska, thanks to the goEast Award at Sofia Meetings, will take part in the festival\’s East-West Talent Lab as a guest, with her project Midnight Train.

Meanwhile, FFF project manager Stefan Arsenijević is on the expert jury for the goEast Development Award, together with Burkhard Althoff (editor and deputy editor-in-chief at ZDF/Das kleine Fernsehspiel), and Nataša von Kopp (director, Germany/Czech Republic). The jury will pick out one of the 14 projects by young talents from Germany, Georgia, Croatia, Macedonia, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine, Hungary and Belarus, and award it with €3,500 for development.

As the Talent Lab is intended for short fiction films, documentaries, experimental shorts and video art, Jakimska\’s project will not be in competition, but the filmmaker will have the chance to meet and network with professionals from Germany and Eastern Europe, from up-and-coming writers and directors, to established producers, and buyers and distributors.
