Goethe Institut’s FIRST FILMS FIRST training program’s alumna Magdalena Ilieva’s debut ETERNITY PACKAGE is one of the six projects selected for This is IT, a work in progress section exclusively dedicated to long feature fiction films and hybrid works with a strong visual and artistic approach with Italian majority or minority co-producers. This is IT takes place as part of When East Meets West Co-production Market during Trieste Film Festival from Jan. 24-28.
ETERNITY PACKAGE is financed by Eurimages, Bulgarian National Film Centre, Italian Ministry of Culture’s Audiovisual Directorate, and Development funding from MEDIA – Creative Europe Programme. It is a black comedy about a 30-something funeral director Bobby in a declining Bulgarian town, asked by Anka to organize her own funeral in two weeks.
