FFF Participant ALEKSANDRA ODIC in CANNES CINEFONDATION!

We are so proud to share more news from Cannes regarding Goethe-Institut\’s FIRST FILMS FIRST programme.

New generation participant of ours, Aleksandra Odic is currently developing her debut VANJA with us during the four modules of FIRST FILMS FIRST programme.

Her latest short FRIDA is having the world premiere in Cinefondation competition of Cannes Film Festival showcasing the best student films from all over the world.

The screening is on Thursday July 15th at 11 am in Bunuel Theatre. Do not miss this screening to discover the talent of Aleksandra Odic who is already selected for Cannes with her short and developing her debut feature fiction with FIRST FILMS FIRST.

Aleksandra Odic was born in Bosnia-Herzegovina. As a child, she emigrated to Germany with her family due to the war. Her work as an actress was followed by Film Directing studies at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB). Her previous short film KINESKI ZID (GREAT WALL of CHINA) was screened at Berlinale 2018.

We will soon give you more info about Odic\’s debut project VANJA, as we wouldn\’t like to shadow her new short FRIDA before the Cannes premiere.
