THE BUS TO AMERIKA WINS BERLINALE CO-PRODUCTION MARKET AWARD!

FFF participant Derya Durmaz\’s project The Bus to Amerika has won the VFF Talent Highlight Award worth €10,000 at the Berlinale Co-Production Market, provided by the Verwertungsgesellschaft der Film und Fernsehproduzenten (Society of Film and Television Producers) from Munich.

Derya and her producer Nefes Polat, who took part at the Berlinale Talents, presented The Bus to Amerika at the Talent Project Market, along with ten other projects.

Another award went to the FFF region, with Serbian director Vladimir Perisic winning the renowned ARTE International Prize worth €6,000 for his project Lost Country, represented by KinoElektron (France), MPM Film (France) and Trilema Films (Serbia). The ARTE prize is since 2011 bestowed on an artistically outstanding project drawn from the entire Berlinale Co-Production Market.

The biggest award of the market, the Eurimages Co-Production Development Award, with an endowment of €20,000, went to The Wife of the Pilot by German director Anne Zohra Berrached, represented by Razor Film Produktion.
