WIESBADEN GOEAST AWARD FOR A FIRST FILMS FIRST PROJECT

goEast Film Festival and First Films First are happy to announce a partnership!

The Wiesbaden Festival of Central and Eastern European Film goEast, one of the most important international festivals for Central and Eastern European cinema will present a special goEast Award for the best pitch to one of the First Films First participants at the forthcoming Sofia Meetings, industry section of the Sofia International Film Festival.

The prize grants the winning FFF participant an invitation as a special guest to the East-West Talent Lab during the next edition of goEast in Wiesbaden (April 26 to May 2, 2017). The winner will present his/her project at the public presentation, out of competition. The East-West Talent Lab concentrates on networking, bringing young filmmakers, artists and film students from Central and Eastern European countries and Germany together.

The First Films First pitching at Sofia Meetings (March 16-19) will mark the end of the 10-month long first edition of First Films First, Goethe-Institut’s intensive professional training program aimed at supporting young Southeast European film directors to develop their first feature-length fiction film.
