Asimina Proedrou\’s debut BEHIND THE HAYSTACKS is the 10th completed film developed via Goethe-Institut\’s FIRST FILMS FIRST and having a world premiere tonight as part of the Meet the Neighbors section of Thessaloniki International Film Festival!
A tragic incident on Greece\’s northern border strikes a local family of three, pushing them to face their own personal impasses while having to deeply consider the price for their actions.
Behind The Haystacks is a Greece-Germany-North Macedonia co-production and got supported by Eurimages, ZDF/ARTE, Greek Film Center, ERT, MEDIA Creative Europe, North Macedonian Film Agency, and SEE Cinema Network among others.
