Ivan Gergolet’s feature fiction debut The Man Without Guilt will have its world premiere in the First Features competition of Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival which is the A-list festival of Northern Europe. Huge congratulations!
Angela, an asbestos widow, meets the man responsible for her husband’s death. Deciding to become his caregiver to punish him, she falls into the emotional labyrinth that separates lies from truth. When the executioner becomes a victim of himself, revenge can turn into forgiveness and a new beginning can be possible.
The Man Without Guilt has been developed via Goethe-Institut’s FIRST FILMS FIRST and has been supported by Eurimages, the Slovenian Film Centre, Friuli Venezia Giulia Film Commission, and the Croatian Audiovisual Centre among others. The film is produced by Slovenian company Staragara (Miha Černec & Jožko Rutar), in co-production with Italian company Transmedia Produzione (Igor Prinčič), and Croatian co-producers Lana Matić and Boris T. Matić (for Propeler film).
