We are extremely excited to share with you that the feature debut SNOW AND THE BEAR by Selcen Ergun will have its world premiere in the Discovery section of the Toronto Film Festival. It is the 8th completed film that has been developed via Goethe-Institut\’s FIRST FILM FIRST.
SNOW AND THE BEAR is about a newly appointed nurse in a small, snow-covered, border town in an Eastern province of Turkey where the winter surprisingly doesn’t come to an end… Rumors of bears rising early from winter-sleep spread around… A man goes missing one night.
The film is a Turkish, German, and Serbian co-production supported by Eurimages, the Turkish Ministry of Culture, Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, Film Center Serbia, and the German-Turkish Co-Production Development Fund.
