As Goethe-Institut’s FIRST FILMS FIRST training program, we are so proud to have four debut feature fiction projects being presented at this year’s Antalya Film Forum. And we are even happier now that two projects got awarded.
Emine Yıldırım is a current participant of FFF and her debut APOLLON by DAY ATHENA by NIGHT got selected as the best project and received 2 awards in the category of Sümer Tilmaç Antalya Film Fund which supports the projects which will be shot in Antalya. APOLLON by DAY ATHENA by NIGHT which is in development stage received 150.000 TL as well as the post-production award from FONO FILM which is one of the oldest post-production houses in Europe. The project was previously presented in Meetings on The Bridge, selected for Berlinale Script Station 2020 and supported by Turkish Ministry of Culture Script Development Grant so far.

Turkey-German co-production ZUHAL received the Special Jury Prize worth of 40.000 TL in the category of Work in Progress. Project was previously granted a post-production award at this year’s Meetings on The Bridge as well.

Work in Progress section had five projects and two of them were developed in different years during FIRST FILMS FIRST which are SNOW and THE BEAR by Selcen Ergun and ZUHAL by Nazlı Elif Durlu. We are excited to see the completed films possibly in the festivals next year.
