This is a story about the conflict between the traditional and modern world, following the successful adventurist and a failed blogger Evgenij Hope when he finally comes back in his home to write a story about his old father- the best shooter in Macedonia. His father has spent all his life defending his small grain field and chickens by wild birds who attack them. When his son finally comes back home and announces the story of his father on his blog, suddenly a big twist of events on both of their lives occurs. Evgenij’s blog gets a huge attention all of the sudden, but the oldman’s peaceful life becomes a night mare.
Тhe main subject that I’m interested in by creating this story is the conflict between the old world of traditions and the modern world of free wills, progress of the society and “open-mindless”.
In order to show the pick of this conflict I have chosen intentionally the relationship of the main characters to be a father and a son – the symbol for the new and the symbol for the old, who cannot go one without the other.
This story is especially important to me because I am personally involved in these real people’s lives. Also, by finding and recreating this story, I am in the blogger’s skin and I am dealing with his obstacles as a character. So, this is a fiction story combined of real elements and with the combination of these elements I want to achieve a documentary style in a fiction story.
