Tudor Vladimir Panduru is a Romanian cinematographer passionate about visual storytelling and always in search of creative visual expressions for screen dramaturgy.
Born in 1989 in Piatra Neamt, Romania, Tudor developed his visual sensibility by way of photography before studying cinematography at the National Film and Theatre University ”I.L Caragiale.” He also holds an MA in The Art of Cinematography from the same university.
He made his debut as a DOP in a feature film, Graduation (2016), with Palme D’or winner Christian Mungiu. Tudor has been nominated for International Cinematographers’ Film Festival MANAKI BROTHERS for best cinematography.
My Happy Family (2017) by Nana Ektimishvili & Simon Gross which he lensed received the Best Cinematography award at Lecce Film Festival.
Still collaborating with Mungiu, he has shot films of acclaimed Romanian directors Puiu and Muntean. The films he lensed have been screened in the official selections of Cannes, Berlin, Sundance, and San Sebastian Film Festival.
